Everyone loves a winner. People gravitate to a winner. They hope that some of his excellence rubs off on them…Detroit based MC Marvwon has grown accustomed to being a winner. Born and raised on the eastside of Detroit, MI, Marv Won took to hip-hop at an early age. Taking his cues from such greats as KRS-One, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and the like, Marv crafted a style all his own. The typical stories of the hood became cinematic in Marv’s hands. Greatness oozed out of Marv’s pen. Making a name for himself in the world-renowned Detroit underground scene, Marv joined forces with other “legends in the making” to form a group the likes of which Detroit had never seen…The Fat Killahz!!!! Consisting of respected wordsmiths King Gordy(Web Ent), FattFather(feat. on multi-platinum selling Aftermath/Interscope recording artist Eminem’s “ENCORE” album), and Shim-E Bango(platinum selling Shady/Aftermath recording artist Obie Trice’s hype man) the group took the city AND nation on tour as they embarked on a 32 city national tour with Detroit mainstays D-12 and Slum Village in 2003. In 2004,The Fat Killahz(F.K. as their adoring fans tagged them) dropped the critically acclaimed LP “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner?” With the lead single “Get Ya Paper”(produced by super producer Black Milk(Fat Beats)) burning up the local airwaves,it took its perch upon the top spot on college radio charts for 3 weeks. Fast forward, Marv Won is ready to make the world take heed of his name. With help from D-12 super producer Mr.Porter, Black Milk, vocalist Bilal, and a host of reputable help, Marvwon is in prime position to be “THE NEXT BIG THING!!” Life is a game…and since everyone loves a winner…how can u not like MARV…he has already WON!!!
